Apple Pie/Cobbler (Old family recipie)

 Preheat to 350
Cook Time 35-40 mins

2-3 green apples (I use 5)
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 1/2 tablespoons butter

Cut and peel your apples in to small pieces about the size of an inch. I usually just slice them with an apple slicer, and peel them. Place into a 9in baking dish. Pour the water over the apples, and sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over the apples also. Cut the butter in to small 1/4 inch pieces and place all over the apples so their evenly apart. Proceed to make the crust:

Crust
1 cup sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
Mix together than add
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 egg (beaten)
1 tablespoon vanilla

Once you are done with the crust pour it over the apples and butter, and place in the oven at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

Serving is about 4 and the recipie can be doubled
